Divinity School
Wake Forest University Divinity School was in need of a physical identity on the university campus. The two-story addition of 2,350 square feet is on a north-south axis with Wait Chapel and Reyolda Hall. The Divinity School houses eight offices, with the upper offices overlooking a grand rotunda, which is accessed through a vestibule from the elevated portico. The conceptual design of the entrance was an elevated two-story portico supported by four, twenty-foot limestone columns, and a granite staircase flanked by two wrought iron light standards on granite bases. Inside, the grand rotunda showcases a marble floor, curved glass guardrail, oak trim, and cathedral ceiling. The original brick and limestone façade of Wingate Hall remains visible inside the addition adding to its history and splendor.

Information Systems
The entire information systems department for the university – Wake Forest University’s Computer/Information Services along with ROTC, Bookstore, Dining, Serving and Kitchen area are incorporated in the building in excess of 70,000 gross square feet.

The site for the building was one located on the northern periphery of the campus occupying the footprint of the former Tennis Center for Wake Forest University. The Information Systems Building is linked by a pedestrian bridge to the existing Worrell Professional Center. In siting the building the Architect sought to maintain a low profile with minimal sight lines from the faculty condominiums and townhouses by locating the north façade into the embankment creating a hidden alley access to mechanical, electrical, loading dock and emergency transformer but retaining the pines as a buffer. Stair towers, service, mechanical rooms, HVAC and data stacks along with an interior service corridor were located to the north enabling the two-story building to rise unencumbered by interior shafts and mechanical rooms.
